Day 1 Colombo to Kandy: Upon arrival at Colombo airport, meet and greet by Concept Voyages representative and transfer to Kandy. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site. The name "Kandy" conjures visions of splendour and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit the Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts centre, a gem museum and a lapidary. Also visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy. Thereafter witness a cultural show. Overnight stay in Kandy. Day 2 Kandy to Colombo: After breakfast, proceed to Colombo, enroute visiting the Botanical gardens in Peradeniya, which was originally the pleasure garden of the royalty. Nearly 4000 species of plants are found in this garden and it is encircled by the Mahaweli River. Thereafter proceed to Kalutara / Bentota / Ahungalla via Pinnawela. Enroute visiting the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela, which is a home to about 60 elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. Also, accompany the elephants to a river close by to see them having their daily baths. In the afternoon do a city tour of Kandy - the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings. Afternoon at leisure enjoying the beach. Overnight at Kalutara / Bentota / AhungallaDay 3 Kalutara / Bentota / Ahungalla to Colombo: After breakfast, transfer to Colombo. In the afternoon do a city tour of Colombo observing the old parliament, the residential areas, the BMICH (Bandaranaike memorial international conference hall). Also, visit the Ceramics Corporation showroom, majestic city shopping complex, House of Fashion, and the Odel unlimited dress boutique. Overnight stay in Colombo.Day 4: After breakfast at leisure.
